FTP Instructions

I. Download FileZilla FTP Client

Go to http://filezilla-project.org/.

Click Download FileZilla Client button.

Select the appropriate file for your platform to download. 

Open the file to install FileZilla and follow the set up instructions. 

II. Login to the Server

Open FileZilla.

Your computer's files will automatically appear in the Local pane on the left.

In the Quickconnect Bar, complete the following fields:

  • Host:  luskarchitecture.com
  • Username and password will be provided by Lusk Architecture.

 

Then, click "Quickconnect".

Upon successful connection to the server, the Remote panel on the right will automatically open to your folder on the server. 

III. Transfer Files to the Server

In the Local pane on the left, locate the files you wish to transfer.

You can navigate to the files by using the Directory Tree (top) or Directory Content (bottom) panes. The Directory Tree pane allows you to navigate through all of the folders on your computer. The Directory Content pane will show the content for the folder selected in the Directory Tree.

  • In the Directory Tree, use the plus and minus boxes to expand and contract folders.
  • In the Directory Content pane, to return to the previous folder, double click the ".." directory at the top of the pane, as highlighted in the image below.

 

 

Drag and drop the files from the Local Directory Content pane on the left to the Remote (server) Directory Content pane on the right. 

  • To select more than one file at a time, hold down the CTRL button on your keyboard.
  • To select all the files in a folder, hold SHIFT + CTRL, select the first file and then the last. 

 

Once you drop the files on the Remote side, they will appear in the Transfer Queue, as shown in the image below. 

  • The Queued Files tab shows the files that are in the process of being transferred.
  • The Failed Transfers tab shows any files that were not successfully transfered.
  • The Successful Transfers tab shows all files that have been successfully transfered to the server. Once a file is successfully transferred, it will also appear in the server pane on the left. 

 

IV. To Open a File from the Server

In the Local pane on the left, navigate to the location where you would like to save the file.

Drag and drop the file from the Remote Directory Content pane to the Local Directory Content pane.

The file will appear in the Queued Files tab until it has been successfully transferred.

To open the file:

  • Right click the file and select "Open".
  • Or navigate to the location on your computer where you saved the file and open it.
